With the same substance abuse challenges been experienced in Lagos Nigeria, Akete Teen Challenge Foundation was registered as a non-governmental and non profit making organization in 2016, to manage the Teen and Adult Challenge Treatment Centre in to implement various certified programs to successfully tackle the menace of substance abuse among youths and adults.

Starting from the city of Lagos is strategic to the acceptance and survival of the objectives of the foundation due to its cosmopolitan, multi-cultural/ethnic nature.

To build a healthy nation free of substance Abuse by creating locally sustainable programs and discover the life-changing power of Jesus.

THE FOUNDER

Having been in the United States of America for 34yrs and taking a cue from the success of the Global Teen Challenge and its resultant impact on the American society, Mr. Olayiwola Sobande decided to bring his wealth of diaspora experience to bear in Nigeria as a US trained and certified Licensed Alcohol and  Drug and Counselor (LADC).
